What is Aroma Therapy?
It is a healing art which uses the essential oils of aromatic plants, trees and flowers to promote health of body and serenity of mind.

Essential oils are non-fatty secretions produced by oil glands found in aromatic plants. These can be found in the flowers, leaves bark or roots. Essential oils are a major component of the plant's immune system and play an active role in the reproduction cycle of plants as well as being the plant's stress management tools.

It is the essential oils within plants that give them their characteristic smell and flavour. When we smell the delightful fragrance of jasmine flowers in the early evening, open a cedarwood box and inhale its woody smell or add the zest of a lemon to a drink, it's the essential oil that we are enjoying. The Essential Oils are blended with Carrier Oils (Base Oils) and then used.

Each essential oil has a separate set of properties and based on these properties, the oils or aroma of these oils are used.

Methods used in Aroma Therapy are : Massage, Bath, Sitz Bath, Inhalation, Burners, Diffusers, Dry Vaporization, Steam, Spray, Compresses, Gargle, etc.
